The skirt is handmade by me. I used Simplicity's Amazing Fit Pencil Skirt pattern 2475. I've tried a few of these patterns and they really are wonderful. The pattern instructs you to tailor it to fit your body shape and size perfectly. I found the fabric on sale at Hancock's and although wool is expensive, the skirt didn't require much.
The jacket was one of my goodwill finds. It's a modern Penny's jacket but has a vintage feel, I think. You can't tell in the pictures but it has gold threads running through it. The gloves and hat really pull the whole thing together and are one of my wardrobe staples.
If you're ever out shopping for vintage gloves, alwaystry them on first. Most vintage gloves are very petite and if you have long fingers like me, a pair that fits is a rare and exciting find.
