ReplyDeletehttp://www.etsy.com/listing/87108930/vintage-sewing-pattern-ladies-dress-with . It's such and awesome summer dress. Pair it with some of vintage Mexican leather sandals and you're good to go!
Oh she has an amazing collection to offer! I really like this one: http://www.etsy.com/listing/81291442/vintage-sewing-pattern-1940s-ladies but to tell the truth, I could have lots of fun with all of them, including the kids patterns. She has one from the late 50s that reminds me of one I picked up from an estate sell this past year. I am planning on making a cute dress for my daughter with it!
ReplyDeleteI love the 1940s vintage hat pattern, it looks so lovely and unique!
ReplyDeleteAnother American in Norway! I'm always excited to find one! Thanks for pointing me to her blog!

The winter in Oslo has been pretty mild but much colder than I'm used to as a Californian so I've been on the hunt for longer skirts. I think I might buy this anyway and make it in a luxurious wool!
Mrs. Depew is wonderful--I follow her blog as well as this one and love her ramblings!
ReplyDeleteIf I had to pick just one--and it's so hard!--I'd probably pick this one because it's got an interesting front yoke: http://www.etsy.com/listing/78664449/vintage-sewing-pattern-mail-order-4610
This one, however, is a close second as it reminds me of Rizzo from Grease: http://www.etsy.com/listing/87816369/vintage-sewing-pattern-ladies-wiggle

this is so wonderful! i love her site and have found her blog, etsy page, and her FB page! TOTALLY in love with all her 50s designs. of course i would just love to own them all! but my favs are the 50s designed dresses and blouses. i would love to just pick one, BUT they are all wonderful, and i myself do not have a vintage pattern to speak of so any of them i would be proud to own! Whoa, never seen so many vintage patterns in one spot before! I've gotta go with the Ladies 34 bust dress (McCall's 5471).
ReplyDeleteI've had the pleasure of looking through her Etsy store before, actually quite recently, as I noticed a banner for her store on your blog :). It's so difficult to choose, but I'd have to say the pattern I've been ogling is the Simplicity 3202 1940's blouse pattern. It's super adorable, and has so many options. I have quite a few of her listings favorited for future purchases. :)
ReplyDeleteHow is a girl supposed to choose? I was immediately drawn to the cloche, though. It's "sew" stylish!
ReplyDeleteAs a girl losing her hair from kidney disease and lupus, I would really like to learn how to sew. I found her Cloche hat and instantly fell in love!
ReplyDeleteWow, amazing shop.. Loved them all but narrowed it down to the Olivia de Haviland-dress as my favorite because my name is Olivia to :)
