My sister, Chelsea is getting married in two weeks and we have both been working hard to plan, make decorations and of course, sew! Here's a little peek at what's been keeping me so busy!
Chelsea's wedding dress, handmade by me |
my bridesmaid's dress pattern and fabric |
all paper decorations- cranes, fortune cookies and candy dishes |
the bride's bouquet- paper roses, made by me, We used some antique sheet music too, isn't that lovely?! |
I saw the dress, gorgeous, but I hadn't seen the flowers and the other paper items yet, soooo pretty! I love the flowers, this is really going to be nice! :o)
ReplyDeleteHow darling! It's going to be a lovely wedding. :)
ReplyDeleteLove those paper flowers. Could you possibly do a tutorial on how to make them? I would love to learn how! :)
ReplyDeleteEmily, you wouldn't believe how easy they are! Here's a link to the tute I used: http://pigtailspapertrails.blogspot.com/2010/01/making-paper-cardstock-roses-for.html
ReplyDeleteI cut my circles in a scallop to accentuate the petal shape.
This wedding sounds wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI love that you are all putting in so much hard work into making most of the decorations by hand and even the wedding dress! A kinda make-do wedding!
I am looking forward to seeing wedding pictures! xxx
Sounds fab! Cannot wait to see it all finished and in full!

God*n*Me, will do!! Her wedding will be August 8th so I'll post pics of the whole thing the very next day! I love the paper bouquet idea. Not only is it gorgeous, it's eco friendly and much more affordable than real flowers. I'm making the bridesmaids bouquets from paper and my husband is making origami flowers for the boutonnieres. I can't wait to post pics of the finished project!! :)
ReplyDeleteI think its beautiful all the things you have done for your sister to make her day extra special. I am sure she will look stunning on her big day!
