On Tuesday afternoon, we went for a walk down Main Street and had dinner at Llewellyn's Pub, which is always very yummy. The building was a bank in the 1860's and still has the big vaults, which you can sit in while you dine
I've blogged a lot about main Street before. This historic site was once Missouri's capital and marked the beginning of the Lewis and Clark westward expansion expedition. The old buildings are now quaint gift shops and restaurants.
Goofing around with explorer and local historic hero, Daniel Boone

I love that! There is a restaurant we've been to in PA that was also a really cool old bank, they wouldn't let us go in the vault though.
ReplyDeleteLove your outfit! Old historic districts are my favorite! Too bad there's not much of one where I live.
ReplyDeleteThese pictures are delightful! They are all so much fun that I can't even say which is my favorite - though the picture with your little one sitting in Daniel Boone's hand is a strong contender. And your outfit is lovely.
ReplyDeleteThat Daniel sure is a charmer ;) Love the parasol print on your dress. SO cute!
ReplyDeleteThose photos are such a riot! I love the "posing" even from the little ones! The photo with the big tree is simply amazing. Can I ask what camera you use, and what editing program you use? Your photos are among some of the best in the blogging "world" imho. Great job.
ReplyDeleteI love these photos!(: And I ADORE your dress!
ReplyDeleteoh, goodness, thank you! My camera is just a little canon. It's a PowerShot SD770 IS Digital Elph. I'd kill for a nice dslr but for now, I use what I can afford. This camera is a little point and shoot that fits in my purse . It helps too that my hubby has a great eye and a lot of patience :P We've had a few Canons and they really are fantastic cameras. I don't think I'll ever buy any other brand. Since so many people are spluring on dslrs, you can find a decent point and shoot on ebay, craigslist, etc- gently used but just as good! For editing, I use photoscape, which is just about the best thing ever! I am not a techno-savvy person and I've tried gimp and photoshop and it's too much for me to handle. Photoscape is free and super easy to use. You can do color adjustments, fancy filters, remove red eye, resize pics, make collages, clone out background junk and all kinds of wonderful things with the click of a button. It takes a little playing around with to figure out what all of the functions do but it's so easy to use. I downloaded it from brothersoft
ReplyDeleteThat has to be the most perfectly well suited springtime fabric pattern of all time! Tiny blue umbrellas = love! :)
ReplyDeleteYou look absolutely beautiful, my dear. I'm on the hunt for a medium or dark brown cardigan myself at the moment (they seem to be, interestingly, trickier to come by than many other cardi colours, despite the commonplace of brown as a wardrobe staple), and hope to find one someday that's as cute and classically pretty as the one in these fun shots.
Wishing you a wonderfully lovely Wednesday,
♥ Jessica
The picture of your baby on the statue's hand made me do a double take! :D
ReplyDeletehehe! I know! My husband said that I should edit out his arm so it looks like he's sitting up there by himself but I said no way! :P
ReplyDeleteI love the baby photo..... it took me a while to see your husbands arm! :) x
ReplyDeleteThe photos of all of you and Mr. Boone are SO charming.
DeleteI've told a hundred times before you are a very lovely lady, but I'll do it again. :)
Thank you for your advise. Off to find photoscape. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThe umbrella print dress is just divine! I'm glad other people love silly photos as much as me! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the hat! Such a put together outfit and so coordinated!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to have found your blog, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant, yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
