Oh my her waist was sooooo tiny!
ReplyDeleteI know! I'm sure she did corset training!!
DeleteMaila was also from Finland(just like me). We finns often have wry high and sculptured cheekbones and often also a bit cattish eyes just like Maila.
ReplyDeleteGirls from the eastern parts of Finland, Karelia, are supposed to be blessed with tiny midriffs, I have heard.
This post is sooooo epically awesome! I adore Vampira! Her look was so fantastically unique at the time and even to this day she stands out from the (dark scene) crowd, in my books.

Okay that waist is just FREAKY DEAKY. Creeps me out! How do you have room for internal organs?? LOL
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to go as her for Halloween! But fear so many people would think I was Morticia or something. :/ But going as her one year would give me the excuse I need to buy myself a really good corset!

Did'ya ever see Ed Wood? My favorite movie. Vampira is played by Tim Burton's girlfriend, I forget her name, but she also portrays the Martian/bimbo that penetrates the White House in Mars Attacks. Remember? The Kennedy Room with the concrete bed? The oxygen chewing gum? Talk about a tiny waist!
ReplyDeleteI love this!!! Vampira is probably going to be my next Halloween makeup tutorial x
