Lately, I have been obsessing over fantastic surface designs and colors. I thought I'd share some of my favorites with you today, featuring Mrs Depew Sewing Patterns and fabrics from fabric.com.
Last time, I shared Mrs Depew's draft at home collection but if you feel like you're not ready for drafting quite yet, she has a large selection of beautiful rare patterns to print at home. I love these print at home patterns so much because you can easily grade them up or down without having to worry about messing up an original vintage pattern. Between kids and kitties sitting on patterns and ripping them, I never fret because I can always print a new piece!

As soon as I finish my 1930's blouse, I'd love to sew her 1948 Beret with a bird on it! Look at the gorgeous finished beret on Sew Vera Venus

This is such a cool idea, Brittany! Thanks so much for putting this together!
ReplyDeleteYou know I hate when I click out of a window and forget to hit enter:) I love the small top print. Fabulous. I also have some of the MM sail print so cute. Can't wait to see what you do with your blouse.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration Brittany. I am going shopping right now!
ReplyDeleteI think the bird beret is a must here as well. So fun!
ReplyDeleteI have fallen in love with the wrap blouses.
ReplyDeleteI am very impressed by these combo's....it's starting to get the creative juices flowing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.

Awesome combinations! I really like the City Center Midtown print with that classic 1950s French sundress.

Oh, I LOVE this post so much! In fact, I scooped up that Michael Miller barbeque fabric early in the summer along with a couple other of his vintage barbeque fabrics. Sadly, I didn't get around to make the dress I wanted to with it...and now, being an art teacher, my summer is oh-ver, waaaahhhhh! Oh well, next summer. Thank you for the lovely post!
ReplyDeleteOoo, I love the Michael Miller Retro Small Top! I might need to get me some of that. Thanks for the inspiration!
