After many months of drafting, testing, fitting and tweaking, the Va-Voom Bullet Bra pattern is finally finished and ready to share. Join me on Saturday the free pattern download and day 1 of the sew-along.
The pattern is currently available in cup sizes C and DD. The B and D cups will follow. At the end of the sew-along we'll have an easy tutorial for making your own bullet bra pads as well!
Materials
1 Yard of fabric- you can use all kinds of fabric for this project. I used cotton for my first two bras but flannel backed satin would be a comfortable and beautiful choice as well.
A spool of thread to match or contrast.
Purchased bra straps
A purchased bra closure
Supplies
Scissors
an iron
pins
pinking shears
a hand sewing needle
Post photos of your bra projects and bra inspiration in the group pinterest board, "Va-Voom Bullet Bras".
To join, comment on any pin on the board and I will add you!

oh this looks lovely. I'd love to join in the sew along, but I'm a G cup. I realise it's almost impossible to cover everyone's sizes though, so I shall just enjoy watching everyone elses creations.
ReplyDeleteI'm a G cup, as well. Would love to sew this bra for myself.
DeleteSo excited for this!! :D
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lot of fun, but unlike Jeanette, I'm at the opposite end of the "scale" (A cup). I agree with Jeanette totally, and I'd love to see the tutorial / sew-along and all of the wonderful finished products! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy sewing!
Oooo, I'll be sure to download the pattern!!!! I don't know when I can get to sew this, but I definitely want to. No matter how much I reason, I just can't afford a repro bullet bra.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Brittany!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait. I saw this on your newsletter and was chomping at the bit then. Now that you have posted about it, I can hardly contain myself LOL
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! Thank you so much for making this pattern free btw. ;)
ReplyDeleteoh what fun! I'm much too flat to pull off the bullet bra effect but I'll really enjoy watching this!
ReplyDeleteI love you!
ReplyDeleteWant want want! You are my hero! Was thinking to buy one, but they are a bit pricey! And you suggest even better option - to make one! Cant thank you enough!!!
ReplyDeleteHoping my Saturday works out so that I can join in!
ReplyDeleteI too would love to join and have been eagerly awaiting your pattern but I'm an F....
ReplyDeleteS x
That's so cute, and the last thing I would think for someone to sew themselves!
ReplyDeleteYesssss!!! I've been thinking about attempting a bullet bra for ages, I wish I was at home to do this right now but once I'm back I am 100% doing this!!!
ReplyDeleteSeriously cool idea! I adore the gorgeous floral print fabric you went with for your new bullet bra (I'd love a kitchen or bedroom in that same colour palette).

*Sigh* If only I could sew! :(
ReplyDelete~xoxo, CoriLynn
I've been so excited for this since you first posted about making the pattern! I'm so not a social media maven and I'm a complete and total pinterest failure (that's quite embarrassing to admit, really) but I'll try to sew along quietly in the background. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome, I'm so excited about this! =D
ReplyDeleteThank you!
Cool idea. Now the pads mentioned . . . would they make the bullet less pointy? As a "D" or maybe even "DD" lady I am wondering why I would use pads? I have an assembly this Saturday and Sunday but surely hope I can join in when I get home in the evening! :-)
ReplyDeleteHow exciting!! I'd love to try this sewalong!!!!!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely up for this! Got my days off coming up!
ReplyDeleteLooks great, I've never sewn underwear before so excited to join in!
ReplyDeleteWish there was an F cup! Annoying big boobs! This looks great xxx
ReplyDeleteWoohoo! I've been looking forward to this forever! Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteCool, I've been working on bullet bras too I'm very interested to see your pattern, I'll put a picture on the pin board. ally at honeypotcreation.blogspot.co.uk
ReplyDeleteCool beans!!! And, love the fabric you used.
ReplyDeleteI want to join on the sew along. I loved the one on the board from dotties delights, so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI will triple be greatful if you come up with an f or g cup pattern. but I will attempt the dd one anyway as practice since i'm a newbie sewer anyway.
ReplyDeleteOoooh exciting! I'll have to wait on the smaller cup, but I'm in :)
ReplyDeleteExciting! I'm in for sure ;)

How awesome, I can't wait to follow this!!
ReplyDeleteCount me in! Love this sew along!!
ReplyDeleteWow! I'm a C, so I cannot wait for your pattern. Thank you so much for making it for us. Have a lovely weekend. :)
ReplyDeleteI've never done a sewalong - I'm totally in! I am a DDD/E/F though, so I'll have to take some measurements of some bras I already have for some adjustments.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to the sew along. I'm an F cup (uk - if there's any difference to US sizing? :-/ ) Will there be any instructions on how to upscale the cup size in the future? I've been looking forward to you putting this on your blog for ages. Hope it all goes well! :0)
