Just a quick tip that I wanted to share with you ladies who love Picmonkey as much as I do- play with the mascara tool from Picmonkey's Royale features.
I found this many months ago and use it on almost all of my photos now. It makes everything really pop!
Open your photo in Picmonkey and select the lipstick icon
Move the slider to make the brush size as big as you can, then adjust the strength till you like the results. I usually use around 50-60%. Sweep the tool across the image and select "apply". You can deepen the look of smaller areas by making the tool smaller.
Mascara is a paid feature but you can try it free for a week to see how you like it. Picmonkey's Royale features are $33 per year, which I happily subscribe to since I find a way to use it almost every day in blogging, social media and even editing family photos and making photo gifts for the grandmas.

Thanks for the post. I think you just gave me the push I need to subscribe to Royale. I will have to take a look at your other posts as well.
ReplyDeleteThats really clever. I swear by Pic Monkey for all my pictures now, despite having spent years perfecting photoshop I just find Pic Monkey more fun to use. I'll definitely give the mascara tool a go. xxx
ReplyDeleteI love picmonkey, ipiccy, befunky, and photofunia so much. I use them again and again from my blog photos and web graphics, love it! I even use it for inspiration for my book covers. :) I haven't subscribed yet and if I used it every day, I would certainly subscribe.
ReplyDeleteI think this is just adjustment of contrast, but you're right, it often looks much nicer. :) Have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteGreat tip, thank you! The side-by-side of the before and after photos you highlighted here really do show off just how well this feature works.
