I thrifted this vintage dress on our trip to Springfield, Missouri ages ago. I never really loved it because it was kind of a boring sack of a dress but it was great for wearing around the house or a quick run to the grocery store. A few weeks ago I spent all day making repairs and alterations on a few things and I refashioned the collar and gave this dress some darts at the waist and now it's one of my favorite easy dresses.

You are so adorable!!
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to imagine that much looks shapeless on someone as, well, va voom as yourself! The post-alteration version looks killer.

ReplyDeleteYou look amazing! I love the print of the dress. Nice work with the alterations! I love finding a way to give new life to something I thought I'd never wear :)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a va-va-voom dress now! I love it - you did very well on the alteration and it hugs your curves so perfectly! Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI like the dress before the alterations as well, but it looks really great on you now that you've revamped it :)
ReplyDeleteLovely, curve hugging dress. I adore fitted, sheath-esque styles like this for summer, too. Way to breath new life in a classic frock, dear gal.

Wow, it looks amazin. You get a fab figure in that dress, dear. And you can wear a lot of bright colours with it. Love it and am a bit envious. ;)
ReplyDeleteAmazing, lovely dress. You get such a great figure in it. And you can style it with so many different bright colours. I am just a little bit envious. ;)
ReplyDeleteI always loved black and white as in plaid or houndstooth. One of my very fav outfits was a black/white houndstooth check skirt, a black velveteen vest and a white (preferably ruffled) blouse....LOVED LOVED LOVED it. Thanks for showing this!
