Joanna from Dividing Vintage Moments
" I'd have to say a recent favorite of mine that I love is Anastasia Brow Wiz. I love the preciseness and rich color tone of this tool."
Dollie from The Rockabilly Socialite
"This is probably my fav. It's the best eyeliner ever! It's so easy to apply and it lasts until you take it off." - Stila Stay All Day waterproof eyeliner
Daffny from a Vintage Nerd
"As a tired mom that doesn't get enough sleep one of my biggest problems has been darkness or puffiness under my eyes. The Benefit Fakeup has been fantastic to help me conceal it. I love it!"
Stephanie from Girl with the Star Spangled Heart
"I adore Red Apple Lipsitcks! They are so amazing for your lips and the color is great! Seriously, I hardly have to use chapstick anymore when I wear their lipsticks regularly. This is one of my favorite"
Modern June Cleaver from Junebugs and Georgia Peaches
" I SWEAR by this one, I use it as a liner + a lipstick, it's absolutely amazing and you can basically wear it all day without having to reapply. I also find that it has more moisture than most of the other lipstains I've used" -Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick
Emileigh from Flashback Summer
" This isn't the most exciting part of makeup, but I LOVE the combo of Almay Smart Shade foundation, concealer, and powder. As someone with psoriasis and acne issues growing up (that are under control now, thank God!), this makeup is wonderful! It's light, fresh, and feels almost like lotion. Paired with the concealer and powder, it is ridiculously smooth and feels like I'm wearing nothing all day. It's also paraben-free and non-comedogenic (doesn't clog pores), and it's great for sensitive skin like mine. I wear this pretty much every day!"
Shermy from Shermette
"I really thought about this in terms of if someone took away all of my makeup, what one think would I beg to keep. I choose Make Up For Ever HD invisible cover foundation. It is the lightest foundation I've ever had, and it's amazing because you can choose to wear it light, or build it for more coverage. The range of colours is also amazing so as I tan I am now kind of mixing my normal winter tone with a darker summer tone, and it's never orangey!"
Bex from Subversive Femme
I swear by Urban Decay 24/7 lipliner in Ozone (clear), nothing will shift your lipstick if you use it .
Oh, and everyday lipstick, Nars Velvet Lip Pencil in Red Square. Wears like a good lipstick, applies like a pencil. The colour is the perfect orange-red too
Laurie from Retro Reporter
"My favourite eyeliner is Mary Kay gel eyeliner. It's smudge-proof and incredibly long lasting (I go swimming with the stuff on and it stays put!). It's a bit harder to apply/fix if you do winged eyeliner, but I just do it on my top lashline and it looks very 40s."
Jessica from Chronically Vintage
"It's an at least three-way tie for me, when it comes to my favourite makeup items, but if I absolutely had to pick just one, I think I'd go with MAC's iconic Russian Red, as finding it several years ago now really was the fulfillment of a lifelong hunt for the perfect (for my colouring) matte, vintage appropriate red lippy (plus, I find, a tube lasts for months, which helps make its price a lot easier to justify)."
Thank you for sharing your picks, ladies! What's your makeup fave?
Wonderfully fun post, Brittany, thank you very much for including Chronically Vintage and I as part of it. I really like the idea of gathering thoughts on the same topic from a wide range of bloggers as you've done here. It reminds me of magazine articles where quotes are used from multiple experts in a given field in the same story.

The best eye makeup tip is to check and see if you have dark circles, they do appear from time to time and then you must apply an eye concealer from the top makeup brands. But try to use it when you have to, this will save you plenty of time.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
