I've been meaning to share some of my vintage magazines here on the blog so today I pulled out American Hairdresser from October 1940. Lets take a peek...
Yep, these are officially stunning hairstyles! I love the swoops and dips, peaks and waves at play here. Really, more than styles, they're works of hair art and deserve to be celebrated as such (which this post does a great job of, I should add).
I read every single comment (even on old posts) and they make my day! If you have a question, please email me at brittanyvavoomvintage@gmail.com. Thank you for reading me!

I just adore your corner of the internet. So glad I found you!
ReplyDeleteAhh, lovely. Back then women really had a "hair do", today almost no one "does" anything. Thank you for sharing. :)
ReplyDeleteOoooh! Please post more of these, I love all things that have to do with hair, and I looove vintage magazines! :D
ReplyDeleteGeez. I can't do anything with my hair. I'm pathetic! How do they do it?!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I wish I could achieve these kinds of styles.
ReplyDeleteWell then, time to whine at my mom to help me with some hair styles!
