I've never had the patience to knit an entire dress before but this 1957 ensemble is one I would make an exception for. The elegant shape of the pencil dress is elevated with a detachable capelet and fabulous triangle pockets at the hips. The waist cinches with a matching belt. If anything, I may have to make a capelet (or two...or three..) to pair with dresses and skirts that I already have.
